he University of Strasbourg is looking for several highly motivated team members to join us in developing a large scale quantum computing platform and ecosystem in the east of France.

Position 1 Chief research engineer - Lead the technical development of a full stack NISQ quantum computer based on atomic qubits. PhD and postdoc experience in experimental physics required (or equivalent experience in industry) [n° 128QMSC, position description in English and French]

Position 2 Research engineer - Planning and execution of a full stack NISQ quantum computer based on atomic qubits. PhD in experimental physics required. [n°128QMDK, position description in English and French]

Position 3 Managing Director - Lead the establishment of a sustainable quantum computing center in the east of France. Leadership experience or a business background in technology or innovation will be beneficial. Good knowledge of English and French required. [n° 128QNKW, position description in English and French]

The selected candidates will work in a highly international setting to establish a new public research and user platform for quantum computing "aQCess - Atomic quantum computing as a service" [aqcess.cesq.fr], which brings together a large number of French and International academic and industrial partners and is supported by the “Plan d’Investissment d’Avenir” of the "Agence National de la Recherche" and the “Programme et Equipements Prioritaire de Recherche Quantique” (PEPR) within the French national quantum strategy. They will work at the new European Center for Quantum Sciences (CESQ) at the University of Strasbourg. CESQ is a transnational quantum research and educational hub that builds upon the exceptional tradition of interdisciplinary research in Strasbourg, focusing on quantum physics and its interfaces, towards new applications in basic science and for the emerging quantum industry. The positions have attractive employment conditions including prospectives for long term employment.
