Kondo-cloud extension around quantum dots
A PhD grant is available at the Néel Institute in Grenoble on the Kondo effect in semiconductor quantum dots. The objective of the PhD is to measure the spatial extension of the Kondo cloud of screening particles around the quantum dot. The originality of the project is to use scanning gate microscopy to probe the spatial properties of this many-body quantum phenomenon.
