Welcome to the 2026
EDPIF PhD student meeting ! 

The doctoral school is organising an event on Monday 29 June 2026, to which all second-year PhD students are invited to attend. The event will take place from 9.00 am to approximately 6 pm at the Sorbonne University, Pierre and Marie Curie campus (4 place Jussieu, 75005 Paris). During the event, oral presentations will be given by volunteer PhD students and invited speakers. The event will include talks, poster sessions, coffee breaks and academic discussions, and a buffet for lunch.

How to participate ?

Do you feel like presenting your research in a poster or in a talk in a dynamic and accessible way?
Register here before June 16th!
Please complete the registration form (even if you are not presenting) and indicate any dietary restrictions.

Practical information


When ?  Monday, June 29th 2026, from 9:00 AM to around 6 PM
Where ? Amphi 44, Campus Pierre et Marie Curie (Jussieu), Sorbonne University, 4 place Jussieu, 75005 Paris. The poster sessions and coffee breaks will take place outdoors, between towers 43 and 44.
How to get there ? Metro Jussieu (lines 7 and 10), bus 63 (stop "Cuvier") and bus 89 (stops "Cuvier" and "Jussieu")

FAQ

Is the conference mandatory for every 2nd year PhD student?

Yes it is. But don't worry, it will be fun!

What happens if you cannot make it to this day without a justification ?

If you do not come, except for a valid reason like another conference, you will have complementary hours of training to fulfill.
